Like many industries, advertising has undergone some remarkable changes over the past couple of decades. The Oklahoma City market has seen the huge, power-house, full-service agencies from the 60's and 70's  fragment into smaller, specialized shops. Likewise, in-house and short-lived "agencies" operated by former media sales executives have appeared and disappeared like shoulder pads and acid-washed jeans.

As we enter our fourth decade, New West Group has become a prominent exception for an industry characterized by agencies that come and go. Even with short-term projects, we build and maintain long-term relationships with our clients.

Many things distinguish New West Group from our competitors, but one very prevalent distinction is the depth of knowledge and experience our staff brings to our clients. Good ideas happen when true advertising professionals are given the opportunity to employ decades of experience.

A few years ago, New West Group created a campaign for a local car dealer called "Norman Nobody." The premise was simple and straight forward: To gain viewer attention through humor and then offer a vehicle at a very appealing price.  Within one year, the dealership had grown from the 774th largest Chrysler dealer in the country to number 58.  Chrysler officials visited the dealership numerous times to learn what we were doing to turn sales around and lead the "zone" in "advertising dollars spent per car sold."  That's a tribute to the power of a good idea.

It is notable that while supporting this event with entries each year, New West Group has been part of "Best of Show" on 3 separate occasions. Our agency also holds the record for the most first place awards won in a single show with 31.  That year, we also took home 8 additional awards out of our 40 total entries.  Our only entry that didn't win during that competition was in a radio category where we swept the first, second and third awards.

New West Group has also won a  plethora of other honors.  The Retail Advertising Marketing Association in Chicago recognized our agency for outstanding radio campaigns. The Large Screen Format Theater Association in Munich, Germany selected our opening campaign for Omniplex as the Best in the World out of one hundred opening worldwide that year. Even the Vatican honored New West for a public service campaign with one of their highly prized "Gabriel" awards. Only 3 such awards were awarded worldwide.
